{"id":146,"date":"2008-05-20T22:14:47","date_gmt":"2008-05-20T11:14:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elyk.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/20\/the-artist-formerly-known-as-saigon\/"},"modified":"2008-05-22T22:48:33","modified_gmt":"2008-05-22T11:48:33","slug":"the-artist-formerly-known-as-saigon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elyk.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/20\/the-artist-formerly-known-as-saigon\/","title":{"rendered":"The Artist Formerly Known As Saigon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Up early to get a taxi to Danang airport.\u00c2\u00a0 Not a bad drive, with some nice mountains dotting the scenery.\u00c2\u00a0 In Danang, I checked in, and grabbed a coffee from across the street &#8211; managing to spill a bit of it on my book, the second time I&#8217;ve spilled some coffee on the same title.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2407\/2510401269_7d798a69b5.jpg\" class=\"flickrimg\" alt=\"IMG_7729\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was a short flight, and I spent most of it finishing my book (&#8220;A Fine Balance&#8221;, which was excellent).\u00c2\u00a0 As I was waiting for my bag to round the conveyer belt, I noticed a small plastic bag float by.\u00c2\u00a0 It looked like the same bag that carried my camera charger.\u00c2\u00a0 I grabbed it and peeked inside &#8211; yep, my charger.\u00c2\u00a0 My bag showed up next, with an open pocket that once held my charger and my memory card reader.
