{"id":33,"date":"2008-01-30T22:30:42","date_gmt":"2008-01-30T11:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elyk.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/30\/olympic-fever\/"},"modified":"2008-01-30T22:30:42","modified_gmt":"2008-01-30T11:30:42","slug":"olympic-fever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elyk.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/30\/olympic-fever\/","title":{"rendered":"Olympic Fever"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gregor and I got on the bus and headed to Circular Quay to catch the ferry to Olympic Park.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a long ferry ride, filled with a bunch of seniors that got off on one island.\u00c2\u00a0 We figure it&#8217;s some sort of euthanasia program.<\/p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2060\/2232762526_4456f0d1a9.jpg\" class=\"flickrimg\" alt=\"IMG_1971\" \/>\n<p>Olympic Park was hot, with not a heck of a lot going on.\u00c2\u00a0 We wandered around for about an hour, checking out the cauldron, and some stadiums &#8211; plus a list of all the volunteers and athletes in the Olympics.<\/p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2154\/2232763392_b4a4faca2f.jpg\" class=\"flickrimg\" alt=\"IMG_1977\" \/>\n<p>Back on the ferry we headed to Manly Beach and swam in\u00c2\u00a0 some very wavy water for a good little while.\u00c2\u00a0 Lay on the beach for a while and read after that.\u00c2\u00a0 We were going to go back in the ocean, but some jellyfish were being washed ashore, and the lifeguards suggested that there were more in the water.\u00c2\u00a0  We took the ferry back to Circular Quay and headed back to Louvelle&#8217;s house.<\/p>\n<p>At night, the three of us headed to a new Mexican place here in Glebe, and had a delicious meal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gregor and I got on the bus and headed to Circular Quay to catch the ferry to Olympic Park.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a long ferry ride, filled with a bunch of seniors that got off on one island.\u00c2\u00a0 We figure it&#8217;s some sort of euthanasia program.
